Raman Aso is a Kurdish-British painter and illustrator based in London.
Her process revolves around contemporary figurative painting, whilst exploring mood and ideas of fragile beauty. Aso’s creative practice ponders themes of vulnerability, individualism, and identity.
Though a figurative painter, the heart of her work has always been how they provoke emotion rather than the narratives.
